The Way Huge Red Llama has long been one of their most popular overdrives, and to celebrate it’s 25th anniversary they’ve released a limited run of 1000 Red Llamas housed in silver chassis. While the sleek new look and 25th Anniversary underside graphic may be enough to jump on this limited run of pedals, there’s more to this Llama than just a shiny new coat.

This all-analog overdrive is essentially the Llama side from Way Huge’s Camel Toe Triple Overdrive MKII, meaning that the pedal also includes an additional tone control not found on most Way Huge Red Llama pedals. In addition to the Volume and Drive knobs, the Hi Cut knob exists to tame the high end frequencies and dial in your sound even further. With the gain knob all the way down, you can retain the pure sound of your guitar and amp with just the slightest bit of grit, and all the way up there’s enough gain on tap for some aggressive distortion. In short the Red Llama covers the spectrum all the way from an ultra-subtle breakup to a screaming distortion or even fuzz.

The anniversary edition is also slightly smaller than the regular Way Huge Red Llama, and can be powered with either a 9V power supply or a 9V battery.

If you’re looking for a functional update and aesthetic overhaul on a classic pedal- look no further. The Way Huge Red Llama 25th Anniversary Edition is available now at Beau Monde Guitars. Come get some!
